About KinTSou Therapy
Welcome to KinTSou Therapy: Healing Through the Practice of KintSugi
Hi, I’m Souyenne, and I’m so glad you’re here. At KinTSou Therapy, my work is inspired by the beautiful Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is carefully repaired with gold. This process doesn’t hide the cracks—it celebrates them, showing that what’s been broken can become even stronger and more beautiful.
The same is true for emotional healing. Life’s challenges and traumas don’t define who you are but can shape you into a more resilient, compassionate version of yourself. My passion is helping you embrace those parts of your story, no matter how difficult they may feel, and guiding you toward healing with patience and self-compassion.
With over a decade of experience in the field of trauma, particularly with survivors of sexual violence, I know that healing takes time. I use an integrative approach to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore broken pieces of your life. Together, we’ll work to repair those emotional wounds, honoring every part of your journey.
At KinTSou Therapy, I support you through this process, helping you rebuild a sense of self-love, acceptance, and strength. Healing isn’t about erasing the past but embracing it, seeing the beauty in your resilience, and transforming your pain into power.Your healing journey starts here, and I’m here with you every step of the way.

Get To Know Me
I’m Souyenne Hackshaw, and I created KinTSou Therapy to offer a safe, compassionate space where healing is viewed as a journey of curiosity and discovery. My passion for trauma therapy is deeply personal. After surviving my own experience of sexual trauma, I knew I wanted to create a space where others could find the safety, understanding, and support I once sought. Specializing in trauma therapy has allowed me to not only explore my own healing but also show up differently for survivors. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable and lighter after each session.
Inspired by the art of Kintsugi, I see the places where we’ve been fractured as sources of strength and resilience. Healing doesn’t mean hiding your scars; it’s about embracing them as part of the journey. I’ve learned that healing takes patience and self-compassion. At KinTSou, we’re focused on helping you reconnect with your body and mind, recognizing that both are integral to your growth.
I’ve designed KinTSou Therapy to be an integrative practice, helping clients reconnect with their bodies and approach healing with curiosity rather than overwhelm. My work blends trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and embodiment techniques to guide you through the journey of coming home to yourself. I want every client to understand that they are not broken but simply on a path of transformation.
Patience, compassion, and self-acceptance are the pillars of our work together. Your past does not define you. Whether you’re looking for individual therapy, couples counseling, group support, or just learning how to care for your mind as you would your body, I am here to embark on this journey with you.
