Individual Therapy

Historically, we have been taught to view our mental health as secondary to our physical health. The reality, however, is that we all need a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space to explore the parts of ourselves that have been buried, hidden, or suppressed. We all need a moment to unpack our past trauma, to begin to mend the wounds that have been inflicted by life. At KintSou Therapy, with a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, and a Somatic Approach we see the healing journey as a holistic one, bringing both body and mind into balance.

Couple’s Therapy

Relationships are the coming together of two or more people, and while there is much that can be accomplished with a strong foundation, there are times when we struggle to connect with the people we like or love. Relationships required work, compromise, patience, and understanding which are not always easy to accomplish especially when emotions are high or promises have been broken. At KintSou Therapy, we offer a safe, confidential, unbiased space to discuss and explore the fluidity and flaws inherent in relationships. Lack of communication, infidelity, and intimacy don’t indicate the inevitable break of a relationship, but instead, provide a place to heal and grow.

Sex Therapy

What comes to mind when the term sex therapy is brought up? Do you think of discussing your sexuality (LGBTQIA), do you imagine exploring your varied interests in the bedroom (exploring with vibrators or blindfolds), do you think of becoming more in tune with your body and what brings you pleasure (Masturbation), do you imagine understanding and working with the changes that arise as we evolve over the years (Changes to one’s libido, adjustments after being diagnosed with an illness)? Sex Therapy encompasses all of those areas and more. For many, the ability to discuss and explore one’s sexuality and intimacy isn’t an area we grew up feeling comfortable exploring. Knowledge and insight into how our sexuality affects various aspects of our life are lacking. At KinTSou Therapy, we offer a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, and unbiased space allowing you to learn, explore, discuss and implement new ways of not only connecting with yourself but also with your partner/partners.
